WEIGAND Wireless Bridge

In typical Wiegand based access control systems, information is passed between the access point and the control system across copper wire. These can be several hundred feet apart, or more.

Never pull wire again!

Simply transmit standard Wiegand data from any standard Wiegand device to your control unit, without wire.

MAVEN Wiegand wireless bridges also have two relays going each direction so you can control your locks and gates with the same device

Additional devices such a request to exit, motion sensor, or door position sensorcan also be used by utilizing available relay inputs on the interface.

You can even power your Wiegand device directly from the bridge.

Install

Start by connecting your weigand device located at the access point to the remote interface

Connect the Wiegand D0, D1 and ground wires to the inputs on the bottom of the remote interface. If you are powering your device from the bridge, connect the V-Bus line as well.

Connect any locks or other actuators to the relay outputs on the top of the remote interface R1 or R2.

The normally open, normally closed and common terminals on the relays are available and can be set as wet or dry. Each has a corresponding input on the controller interface.

Connect 12v DC power.

(Additional devices such a request to exit, motion sensor, or door position sensor can also be used by utilizing available relay inputs on the interface.)

Controller

Connect the Wiegand D0, D1 and ground outputs on the bottom of the controller interface to the weigand inputs on your control panel.

connect the relay outputs for any locks or other actuators from the control panel to the relay inputs and ground on the top of the controller interface.

Connect 12v DC power.
